The full term for scrims is “scrimmages.” BGMI SCRIMS are practice matches where teams of players fight in a controlled environment with their strategies, skills, and teamwork. These scrims help to perform well in competitive events and official tournaments.

Battlegrounds Mobile India is commonly known as BGMI. BGMI is an online multiplayer battle royale game where players compete against each other. Players can choose to play solo, in duos, or in squads of up to four players. The BGMI game begins with players parachuting onto an island. They have to search for supplies and weapons and survive while destroying or eliminating other players. The island area where players compete with each other is gradually small so that players get into closer encounters until a team or one player remains victorious.
BGMI was developed and published by Krafton. Krafton is a South Korean video game company known for creating some of the most popular games in the world Such as PUBG and TERA. PUBG Mobile was initially launched in March 2018 and quickly became a global sensation, in India. However, in September 2020, the Indian government banned PUBG Mobile along with several other Chinese apps due to some national security concerns.
After the ban, Krafton announced the development of Battlegrounds Mobile India in November 2020. BGMI was designed especially for the Indian audience. After the PUBG ban, they made some changes in content and data storage practices so that they comply with Indian regulations. The game was officially launched in July 2021. Since then BGMI become one of the most popular mobile games in the country.
The classic matches are the main mode of the game. A total of 100 players enter the match it can be 25 duo or 100 solo. The motive of the game is you should survive until the end of the game by killing other players with different strategies. Classic matches are the backbone of BGMI scrims, where players experience the full battle royale format.
Erangel is the most iconic map in BGMI. It offers a mix of urban and rural environments. Erangel has different areas such as open fields, terrains, mountains, and forests. In Erangel, players are required to adapt their strategies constantly.
The Sanhok map highlights the fast-paced action game due to its smaller and jungle-themed. The map’s close design and dense vegetation lead to close-range encounters, making it an aggressive playstyle. It is small but an action-packed map.
Miramar is a desert-themed map with vast open spaces. This map’s challenging terrain, including hills and valleys, tests a player's ability to navigate and use vehicles effectively. It is one of the biggest maps in the BGMI map list.

In TDM scrims, two teams face off in a smaller, confined area. Teams have to score 40 points before the clock hits zero. The secondary objective is to collect more points than the opposite team, just in case any of the teams fail to collect 40 points. The points are scored by killing the other team members.
